Berlin you’re amazing! I’ve been to the city before, but I never had so much fun as I had this time! Experiencing Berlin during the summer is so different. No snow, cold and down jackets make it a bit easier to enjoy it. And there is so much to enjoy.
We rented bikes and my friend (who is turning into a little Berlin guide) showed us around the city. We biked everywhere and saw the mandatory tourist attractions and all the places where cool people hang out. Cool people is definitely something you can find in Berlin. Just take a walk around the Hackescher Markt (walking distance from Alexanderplatz). It’s full with ridiculously well dressed people and amazing shops. I found this vintage shop called Made in Berlin when I visited Berlin about 3 years ago and this time I menages to find it again (by accident of course). If you’re into vintage or even if you’re not, this place is worth visiting.
We had a nice breakfast at Cafe Einstein (apparently Angela Merkel has been there) and than we biked through Kreuzberg, which is an ex “bad neighbourhood” turned out one of the trendies areas of Berlin with tons of nice bars and restaurants. Ahh Berlin I always liked you, but now you’re definitely very high on my list of my favourite places. It’s just such a big, energetic and interesting city, but at the same time it’s so chill.
