I spent the weekend in Beijing and I saw one of China’s main attractions The Great Wall. We went to the part of the wall called Mutianyu, which is about 1,5 hour drive from Beijing. Mutianyu is less touristy as the other wall parts closer to the capital and it’s more authentic, so if you’re looking for something less “fake” and less crowded, this one would be good option for you. Although you can take a cable care to the top of the wall (walk to the top might take even up to 2 hours) good shoes are necessary as the wall can get pretty steep.

We were very lucky with the weather. Usually Beijing is very polluted but the day before the rain cleared the air so we could even see Beijing from the wall.
