There is something magical and at the same time also very peaceful about Buddhist temples. They remind me of an oasis in a middle of craziness. There’re full of beautiful colours, fabrics and statues. Jing’an Teple is a good example. It’s one of the biggest and most famous temples in Shanghai located in the middle of a very modern district. When you see the beautiful Buddhist temple surrounded by modern skyscrapers it feels like a collision of time. It’s quiet a unique scenery but at the same time it represents Shanghai very well. This city is one big mix of old and new, pretty and ugly, rich and poor and so on.
